• S1 Core
  
  • The smooth-flexing cousin to our A1 core, our S1 Core is designed to be damp underfoot and stronger than hell. Constructed from Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia, the S1 Core lets each wood do what it’s best for. Tip-to-tail Bamboo stringers add snap, durability, and damping underfoot and are balanced out by lightweight paulownia in the midbody, tip, and tail help to reduce swing weight. Underfoot, Aspen and Bamboo are placed at 30° angles to increase strength, supercharge the edge-to-edge response, and increase the pressure distribution along the edge.

• Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base
  • Built using the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market from Crown, the Wax–Infused Sintered 4001 holds wax longer than other Sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer.
• Biax Glass
  • Smooth all-purpose performance with a no-frills design. Fibers are woven together at 0° and 90°, creating a more forgiving flex pattern.
• Carbon Power Fork
  • Carbon fiber stringers in a V-shape, extending from just outside of the rear inserts towards the rear contact point for added pop, responsiveness, and stability

• Directional Camber Profile
  • The most responsive camber profile in the line features camber running from in front of the front foot to the tail of the board with a slight early rise in the nose. This gives the rider the most precision and control possible in any terrain while still floating effortlessly in the deep stuff.
• ICG 10 Biax Glass with Carbon
  • Integrating tip–to–tail carbon fiber stringers into fiberglass layups ensures a smooth power release in and out of turns while increasingthe snowboard’s pop, liveliness, and longevity without adding unnecessary rigidity. ICG 10 Refers to 10 stringers of carbon fiber running from tip to tail.
• Volume Shift
  • K2 has moved volume from the tips and tails of traditional snowboard shapes and placed it underfoot where it can be better controlled. This makes a wider, shorter design that maintains the same float and stability of a traditional board but increases mobility and maneuverability. More slashing and better lines in the trees are now a reality.
    • Boards with Volume Shift are typically ridden 3-6cm shorter than a traditional board.
• Bio Resin
  • Resin with reduced carbon footprint. reduced toxicity in manufacturing. reduced reliance on fossil fuels
• Stone Ground Base
  •  Boards that leave K2’s factory with a Stone Ground finish, come with a flat, open p-tex base, structured to perform well in all snow conditions,  properly absorb wax, and glide faster than a belt sanded board.
• 2 x 4 inserts
  • Binding Inserts that are still 4cm apart width-wise but in rows that are 2cm apart up and down the board.
• Hybritech Construction
